Unexpected Blessings

....in the midst of all my sadness, God's love appears in incredible kindnesses.

I found this tucked in the TV stand in Craig's room at the memory "care" yesterday:

The first time he sent me flowers, he wrote on the card, "You are my miracle."
I still have that card.
He would tell me all the time "Thank you for doing all of this for me, I would be lost without you", "where would I be without you right now?" ,
I was overcome with emotion.... What a beautiful thing for someone to do. How would she possibly know these words? I barely know her....without understanding, without knowing Craig before Alzheimer's, the person I suspect that left this for me had no idea that Craig would send me flowers and leave cards like this for me all the time; just out of the love in his heart. And word them exactly this way.

The family members you meet and befriend in communities where your loved one lives become wrapped in your heart very quickly. You have an immediate bond. Unexpected blessings.

As angry as I am, I know that
GOD IS BIGGER THAN ALZHEIMER'S.
He knew exactly what I needed, when I needed it. Hallelujah!
