Craig has been having some good days of clarity lately. More of the real Craig has been making an appearance. Here are a few moments of utter clarity in the last week or so:

- I was talking to someone about taking a little vacation time. When I told him how inexpensive it would be, Craig piped up with, "you should go". Both of our mouths dropped at Craig's depth of understanding and his ability to express his thought.
- I told Craig that the caregivers were coming in to toilet him. Craig got that familiar look of disdain on his face as he scrunched one side of his mouth up. Saihou walked in the room and Craig looked up, did a double take and saw that it was Saihou and said in a very relieved tone, "oh good it's you. You're the good one". Another time with Saihou, "you're the best one". Obviously Craig really likes Saihou!
- And the heart ripping moment for me, Craig told me he didn't like living there, that he wanted to be with me and buried his head in my chest in sadness. We talked for a few minutes in complete clarity. Then I asked him if anyone was mean to him there. He said, "no, it's alright; everyone is really, really nice."
- The day after Kyle's visit I was showing Craig the pictures I took of them together on our iPad (handy tool in this situation) and Craig focused (was rare, now almost common) on the picture and shouted "KYLE!" Love it.
