Craig has been having some unusually great days lately. What a blessing. Even remembering things that happened the day before. He's happy and cheerful and enjoying himself. There is a gentleman across the hall from him who along with his wife, were co-Chaplains for the big teams here in Seattle. Sweetest people ever. We love to sit and visit with them. A real highlight for Craig, as you can imagine.
Our Christmas present to each other this year is Holly. She is a sweet, sweet Rough Coat Collie. She is currently 8 weeks old. I take her to visit Craig with me every day and you should see the other residents faces light up when we walk in. Oh how they love her!! Holly is calm and gentle as they hold her and pet her and talk to her. So sweet. She will bring much joy over the years. She has her own water dish and toys in Craig's room and makes herself quite at home. She just loves her Daddy.
Craig will come home with me on Christmas Eve and spend Christmas at home, returning to the memory "care" on Christmas night. With the really great days lately, it looks like everything will go fine. Oh how I hope so!!
