I just spoke with Craig's psychiatrist and they are still working with the Depacote dosage. They have increased it a bit yet he did need a PRN last night. Apparently he becomes agitated at night (sundowning?). I haven't witnessed this as the visiting hours are restricted at the Geropsych. As they increase the Depacote they can back off on the Seroquel and he may be able to recover his ability to speak coherently! Hooray!
They also did another EKG which he said had much better results than the initial one. This is good news because if the Depacote doesn't work then they can use Haldol.
Our main goal right now is to keep Craig as comfortable and happy as possible.
