Well praise the Lord anyway. Love the miracle moments no matter how many....or few.
The horrible sea of Alzheimer's has swept Craig out again and he is more often combative and yelling and delusional the past few days than he has been in awhile. Poor Craig, he is really miserable during these outbursts. Yes, they can give him more medicine to calm him. These are referred to as PRN's and I'm not a big fan of overdoing them, but tonight I gave the okay. It's torture to watch him in such torment. Most times he's over it after several minutes, but tonight was a bad one. I'm told afterward he was quietly laying in bed, happier.
Another resident went to his forever home early this evening. Morrie and his wife Shirley were some of the first ones we met when Craig moved in. Morrie and Craig would've been good friends if they'd met earlier in life. Both avid golfers who loved to laugh.
As we say good-bye to Morrie and every other resident, the rest of us know we are watching our future and we cry for our new friends who have become our family and we cry for ourselves because we all "know". And we gather around each other for support. It is precious.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and again: I can't tell you enough how much I love and appreciate each of you for being there for all of us and I'll be there for you too. You're the best.
