Saturday was Craig's 67th birthday. He presented a good day. Not a great day, but a good one. I'll take it! We had a small, quiet celebration with Andy. His caregiver on duty brought a gift for Craig and another caregiver stopped by later in the day with his wife to also honor Craig and gave him a gift. I was speechless. Such kindness and love they show him in many, many ways. My heart overflows with gratefulness.
I made us a filet mignon dinner with an ice cream cake for dessert. We asked him if the dinner was good and he replied "really good".

Next weekend is the big party. Kyle is flying in from Las Vegas and Susie and Cleo (hopefully the girls too) will be driving over from the Peninsula. We'll have a houseful and I am so excited for everyone to come!! Chip tried to change his flights to be here too, but with the exorbitant fees airlines charge to change a flight, it really wasn't feasible. His presence will be missed with us all; but he will arrive here soon afterward and we are really looking forward to seeing him!
| Ta-dah! Let us eat cake!!! |
| He tried so hard to blow them out....you could just see it in his face that he knew what he was supposed to do, but just couldn't quite conjure it up.... So we ate it!! |
