The Animal Connection

On my way into the grocery store there was a woman with kittens in her car. I should have kept walking into the store, but I made the mistake of looking as I passed by. I noticed these kittens were far too young to be re-homed. I had to stop and ask.... long story short I never made it inside the grocery store and instead made a b-line to the nearest pet store and bought kitten formula and a bottle and headed home with the last 2-1/2 week old kitten whose mother's milk had dried up. Poor little thing.

I put together a box with soft fleece lining and fed her some formula. She slept for awhile and that evening I put the kitten on Craig's chest. She mewed and mewed and mewed it's tiny little mew. Craig looked down and softly reassured her, "it's okay." I about fell off my chair!

The next night I again put the kitten on Craig's chest and he looked at her and said, "good girl".

Really? All of the sudden he is completely cognizant, connecting with the kitten and speaking normally. Wow. Yes, animals are healing.

Holly thinks it's her kitten. She sleeps on my bed now "protecting" her baby.

There really isn't much of anything cuter than a little kitten.
